About Us - First UK Design

Website Design to AJAX Ecommerce and then Formula 1 EPoS© Founded in 1996, we were the UK distributor for Stumpworld Inc. in the US and supplied an ecommerce software product, called Online Merchant Gold, through distributors PC World, Staples and Amazon.co.uk. We later developed the ecommerce software package Shop in a Book. This has more funtionality than osCommerce.
AJAX Ecommerce Enabled Websites We developed more and more powerful online shops with stock control and a powerful shopping cart. The AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) shopping cart is dynamic, any changes are immediately visible without refreshing the browser window. The customer stays in the "sales" area and is not referred to a shopping cart area with the option to check out. If given the option to check out, in most cases, the customer will do so. Our latest client Active Outdoor and Ski also required integration with Cybertill. Our software updates all the stock, automatically, three times a day with new items, categories, products, descriptions, images and prices.
Online Food Ordering and Processing One of my Banbury clients, SCAL (UK), introduced us to the Al Volo Italian restaurant in the City of London. We developed an online food ordering and processing system from the order to the kitchen and delivery. The first to introduce SMS text food ordering, we were featured in the Wall Street Journal and on NBC News.
NBC News Channel 4HD - Mobile Phone SMS Text
Following an article about my company in The Wall Street Journal, we were contacted by NBC News Channel 4HD. They were producing a news item about ordering food by SMS text messaging from your mobile phone. Both goMobo.com, New York, and SoftwareforRestaurants.com, UK, were featured in the televised news report. The interview with Hugh Johnson was recorded at NBC News Channel 4HD in London.
